١٨٣٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَارِبٍ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا ، يَقُولُ: «انْتَهَى رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ مَعَهُ نَاضِحَانِ لَهُ إِلَى مُعَاذٍ، وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ، فَاسْتَفْتَحَ مُعَاذٌ بِسُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ أَوِ النِّسَاءِ - قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: شَكَّ مُحَارِبٌ - فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلُ صَلَّى، ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ، فَبَلَغَ الرَّجُلُ أَنَّ مُعَاذًا يَقُولُ: هُوَ مُنَافِقٌ، فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ: يَا مُعَاذُ، أَفَتَّانٌ، أَفَتَّانٌ، أَفَتَّانٌ - أَوْ قَالَ: - فَاتِنٌ - أَوَلَا قَرَأْتَ: ﴿سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى﴾ ﴿وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَى﴾ أَوْ ﴿وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا﴾ - قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: شَكَّ مُحَارِبٌ - يُصَلِّي وَرَاءَكَ ذُو الْحَاجَةِ وَالصَّغِيرُ أَوْ قَالَ: وَالضَّعِيفُ. شَكَّ مُحَارِبٌ».
#1834 1834 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Muharib, who said: I heard Jabir saying: "A man from the Ansar with two of his camels came to Mu'adh while he was praying Maghrib. Mu'adh began reciting Surah al-Baqarah or an-Nisa' - Shu'bah said: Muharib was unsure - so when the man saw that, he prayed [on his own] and then left. It reached the man that Mu'adh was saying: 'He is a hypocrite.' So he came to the Messenger of Allah (saw) and mentioned that to him. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: 'O Mu'adh, are you a cause of trial (fattan)? Are you a cause of trial? Are you a cause of trial?' - or he said: 'a troublemaker' - 'Why did you not recite: {Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High}, {By the night when it covers}, or {By the sun and its brightness}?' - Shu'bah said: Muharib was unsure - 'For behind you pray those with needs, the young,' or he said: 'and the weak.' Muharib was unsure."

1834 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Shu'be, nga Muharibi, i cili ka thënë: E kam dëgjuar Xhabirin duke thënë: «Një burrë nga Ensarët, i cili kishte me vete dy deve për ujitje, arriti te Muadhi ndërkohë që ai po falte namazin e akshamit. Muadhi filloi të lexonte suren el-Bekare ose en-Nisa.

Shu'be ka thënë: Muharibi ka dyshuar (për suren). Kur ai burri e pa këtë, u fal (vetë) dhe pastaj u largua. Atij burrit i arriti lajmi se Muadhi po thoshte: Ai është munafik (hipokrit). Atëherë ai erdhi te i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) dhe ia tregoi këtë. Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) tha: O Muadh, a je sprovues, a je sprovues, a je sprovues? - ose tha: - sprovues! Përse nuk lexove: ﴿سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى﴾ (Lavdëro emrin e Zotit tënd, më të Lartit), ﴿وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَى﴾ (Pasha natën kur mbulon me errësirë) ose ﴿وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا﴾ (Pasha diellin dhe shkëlqimin e tij)?

Shu'be ka thënë: Muharibi ka dyshuar (për suret). Pas teje falet ai që ka nevojë, i vogli ose tha: i dobëti. Muharibi ka dyshuar (për fjalën).»
