١٩٢٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ. قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا صَخْرُ بْنُ جُوَيْرِيَةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «إِنَّمَا مَثَلُكُمْ وَقَالَ ابْنُ سَعْدٍ: إِنَّمَا بَقَاؤُكُمْ فِيمَنْ مَضَى مِنَ الْأُمَمِ قَبْلَكُمْ كَمَا بَيْنَ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ إِلَى غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ، أُوتِيَ أَهْلُ التَّوْرَاةِ التَّوْرَاةَ، فَعَمِلُوا إِلَى نِصْفِ النَّهَارِ، فَأُعْطُوا قِيرَاطًا قِيرَاطًا، وَأُوتِيَ النَّصَارَى الْإِنْجِيلَ، فَعَمِلُوا إِلَى الْعَصْرِ، فَأُعْطُوا قِيرَاطًا قِيرَاطًا، وَأُوتِينَا الْقُرْآنَ فَعَمِلْنَا مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ إِلَى غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ، فَأُعْطِينَا قِيرَاطَيْنِ قِيرَاطَيْنِ، فَقَالَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابَيْنِ: يَا رَبَّنَا، أَعْطَيْتَنَا قِيرَاطًا قِيرَاطًا وَعَمِلْنَا أَكْثَرَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِمْ، وَأَعْطَيْتَهُمْ قِيرَاطَيْنِ قِيرَاطَيْنِ؟ فَقَالَ: هَلْ ظَلَمْتُكُمْ مِنْ أَجْرِكُمْ شَيْئًا؟ فَقَالُوا: لَا، قَالَ: فَإِنَّهُ فَضْلِي أُوتِيهِ مَنْ أَشَاءُ».
#1929 1929 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from Ibn 'Umar, from the Prophet (pbuh).
He said: And Sakhr bin Juwayriyah narrated to us, from Nafi', that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "The likeness of you" - and Ibn Sa'd said: "Your remaining time compared to the nations who passed before you is only like the period between the 'Asr prayer and sunset. The people of the Torah were given the Torah, and they acted upon it until midday, so they were given a qirat each. Then the Christians were given the Gospel, and they acted until the 'Asr prayer, so they were given a qirat each. Then we were given the Qur'an, and we acted from the 'Asr prayer until sunset, so we were given two qirats each. The people of the two Books said: 'O our Lord, You gave us one qirat each while we worked more than them, and You gave them two qirats each?' He said: 'Did I wrong you in any of your reward?' They said: 'No.' He said: 'Then it is My favor which I bestow upon whom I will.'"

1929 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ibn Sa'di, nga ez-Zuhriu, nga Salimi, nga Ibn Umeri, nga Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.).

Ai tha: Dhe na ka treguar Sakhr b. Xhuvejrije, nga Nafiu, se i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) ka thënë: «Shembulli juaj - ndërsa Ibn Sa'di ka thënë: Qëndrimi juaj në krahasim me popujt që kanë kaluar para jush, është si koha ndërmjet namazit të ikindisë deri në perëndimin e diellit. Ithtarëve të Tevratit iu dha Tevrati dhe ata punuan deri në mesditë, andaj iu dha nga një kirat. Ithtarëve të Inxhilit iu dha Inxhili dhe ata punuan deri në ikindi, andaj iu dha nga një kirat. Ndërsa neve na u dha Kur'ani dhe ne punuam nga namazi i ikindisë deri në perëndimin e diellit, andaj na u dhanë nga dy kiratë. Atëherë ithtarët e dy librave thanë: O Zoti ynë, na dhe nga një kirat ndërkohë që ne punuam më shumë se ata, kurse atyre u dhe nga dy kiratë? Ai tha: A ju kam bërë padrejtësi në ndonjë gjë nga shpërblimi juaj? Ata thanë: Jo. Ai tha: Kjo është mirësia Ime, ia jap atij që dëshiroj».
