Hadith #2008 - Musnad al-Tayalisi

٢٠٠٨ - حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، وَالْأَعْمَشِ - قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ : وَأَنَا لِحَدِيثِ الْأَعْمَشِ أَحْفَظُ، وَالْإِسْنَادُ وَاحِدٌ - سَمِعَا سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَيْدَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، «أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَهُ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَحْلِفُ بِالْكَعْبَةِ، فَقَالَ: لَا تَحْلِفْ بِالْكَعْبَةِ، وَلَكِنِ احْلِفْ بِرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ، فَإِنَّ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَحْلِفُ بِأَبِيهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَنْ حَلَفَ بِغَيْرِ اللهِ فَقَدْ أَشْرَكَ».

- Yunus narrated to us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Mansur and al-A'mash - Abu Dawud said: And I have memorized the hadith of al-A'mash better, and the chain of narration is the same
- they both heard Sa'd ibn 'Ubaydah narrating from Ibn 'Umar, "that a man asked him about a man swearing by the Ka'bah, so he said: 'Do not swear by the Ka'bah, but swear by the Lord of the Ka'bah, for 'Umar used to swear by his father, so the Messenger of Allah (saw) said to him: "Whoever swears by other than Allah has committed shirk."'"
