٢٠٣٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ - وَلَيْسَ بِالْفَرَّاءِ - عَنْ أَبِي الْمُثَنَّى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: «كَانَ الْأَذَانُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى، وَالْإِقَامَةُ مَرَّةً، غَيْرَ أَنَّ الْمُؤَذِّنَ كَانَ إِذَا قَالَ: قَدْ قَامَتِ الصَّلَاةُ، قَدْ قَامَتِ الصَّلَاةُ، قَالَ مَرَّتَيْنِ».
#2035 2035 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: Abu Ja'far - and he is not al-Farra' - informed me, from Abu al-Muthanna, from Ibn 'Umar who said: "The Adhan during the time of the Messenger of Allah (saw) was twice, twice, and the Iqamah was once, except that the Mu'adhdhin, when he said: 'The prayer has indeed begun, the prayer has indeed begun,' he said it twice."
