#2284 2284 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Al-Rabi' bin Subayh narrated to us, he said: Abu Nadrah narrated to us, he said: "Abu Sa'id said to Ibn Abbas: 'What do you think of your fatwa regarding currency exchange (as-sarf), is it something you say based on your opinion or something you heard from the Messenger of Allah (saw)?' He said: 'No, but I do not see any harm in it if it is hand to hand.'

Abu Sa'id said: 'Indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) when some dates were brought to him that were better than the dates that used to be brought to him, and he said: "Where is this from?" He said: "O Messenger of Allah, I went to the family of so-and-so, and I gave them two sa's and took one sa'." The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "Return their sa' to them, and bring us our two sa's."

Then the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "Gold for gold, silver for silver, dates for dates, wheat for wheat, barley for barley, and salt for salt, like for like - or he said: equal for equal - so whoever increases or seeks an increase, he has dealt in usury (riba)."'"

Pastaj i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: 'Ari me ar, argjendi me argjend, hurma me hurmë, gruri me grurë, elbi me elb dhe kripa me kripë, sasi e njëjtë me sasi të njëjtë - ose tha: njësoj me njësoj - e kush shton apo kërkon shtesë, ai ka hyrë në kamatë (riba).'"
