#2294 2294 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Hisham narrated to us, from Yahya bin Abi Kathir, from Hilal bin Abi Maymunah, from 'Ata bin Yasar, from Abu Sa'id, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (saw) sat on the pulpit, and we sat around him. He said: 'What I fear for you after me is what will be opened for you of the splendor of the world and its adornment.'

A man said: 'Does good bring evil?' He remained silent, and it was said to the man: 'What is the matter with you? You speak to the Prophet (saw) and he does not speak to you?' We saw that revelation was being sent down to him. Then he recovered and wiped the sweat from himself, and said: 'Where is the questioner?'—and it was as if he praised him—then he said: 'Indeed, good does not bring evil. Verily, among what the spring grows is that which kills by bloating or comes close to it, except for the eater of greenery; for she eats until her flanks are full, then she faces the sun, urinates, drops her dung, and grazes again. Indeed, this wealth is green and sweet; and what an excellent wealth it is for the Muslim who gives from it to the needy, the orphan, and the wayfarer'—or as the Messenger of Allah (saw) said—'and indeed, whoever takes it without right is like the one who eats but is never satisfied, and it will be a witness against him on the Day of Resurrection.'"
