Musnad al-Tayalisi » What Abu Sa'id al-Khudri Narrated from the Prophet ﷺ
٢٣١٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ السَّبَّاقِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ: «كَانَ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا ثَقُلَ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَحُضِرَ، دَعَوْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى يَكُونَ عِنْدَهُ، فَرُبَّمَا طَالَ ذَلِكَ، فَقُلْنَا: هَذَا يَشُقُّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَرَأَيْنَا أَنْ نَدَعَهُ حَتَّى يَمُوتَ، ثُمَّ نَدْعُوَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، فَكُنَّا عَلَى ذَلِكَ، ثُمَّ رَأَيْنَا أَنَّهُ أَرْفَقُ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَحْمِلَ جَنَائِزَنَا إِلَيْهِ، فَفَعَلْنَا، فَكَانَ الْأَمْرُ».
#2315 2315 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Fulayh bin Sulayman narrated to us, from Sa'id bin 'Ubayd bin al-Sabbaq, from Abu Sa'id, who said: "During the time of the Messenger of Allah (saw), when a man became heavy (with illness) and death approached, we would call the Messenger of Allah (saw) so that he would be with him. Sometimes that would last for a long time, so we said: 'This is difficult for the Messenger of Allah (saw).' Thus, we thought that we should leave him until he died, then call the Messenger of Allah (saw) to him. We continued like that, then we thought it would be gentler for the Messenger of Allah (saw) if we carried our funerals to him, so we did that, and that became the practice."

2315 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Fulejh bin Sulejmani, nga Seid bin Ubejd bin es-Sebbaku, nga Ebu Seidi, i cili ka thënë: «Kur ndonjë burrë ishte në gjendje të rëndë në kohën e Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.) dhe i afrohej vdekja, ne e thirrnim Pejgamberin (s.a.v.s.) që të ishte pranë tij. Ndonjëherë kjo zgjaste shumë, andaj thamë: 'Kjo po e rëndon Pejgamberin (s.a.v.s.)'. Atëherë menduam që ta linim derisa të vdiste, e pastaj ta thirrnim Pejgamberin (s.a.v.s.) te ai. Kështu vepruam një kohë, pastaj pamë se ishte më e lehtë për Pejgamberin (s.a.v.s.) që t'i bartnim xhenazet tona tek ai, kështu vepruam dhe kështu mbeti puna.»
