٢٤٥٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: «كَانَ الْمُؤْمِنُ إِذَا تُوُفِّيَ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَأُتِيَ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَأَلَ: هَلْ عَلَيْهِ دَيْنٌ؟ فَإِنْ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: هَلْ تَرَكَ وَفَاءً لِدَيْنِهِ فَإِنْ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ. صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ، وَإِنْ قَالُوا: لَا، قَالَ: صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ فَلَمَّا فَتَحَ اللهُ ﷿ عَلَيْنَا الْفُتُوحَ قَالَ: أَنَا أَوْلَى بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ، مَنْ تَرَكَ دَيْنًا فَإِلَيَّ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا فَلِلْوَارِثِ».
#2459 2459 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi Dhi'b narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said:

«When a believer died during the time of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), and he was brought to the Prophet (pbuh), he would ask: 'Does he have any debt?' If they said: 'Yes,' he would ask: 'Did he leave behind enough to pay off his debt?' If they said: 'Yes,' he would pray over him. If they said: 'No,' he would say: 'Pray over your companion.'

But when Allah (the Mighty and Sublime) granted us conquests, he said: 'I am closer to the believers than their own selves. Whoever leaves behind a debt, it is for me to pay, and whoever leaves behind wealth, it is for the heirs.'»

2459 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ibn Ebi Dhibi, nga Ez-Zuhriu, nga Ebu Seleme, nga Ebu Hurejre, i cili ka thënë:
«Kur vdiste ndonjë besimtar në kohën e Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.), dhe e sillnin te Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.), ai pyeste: "A ka ai ndonjë borxh?" Nëse thoshin: "Po", ai pyeste: "A ka lënë diçka për shlyerjen e borxhit të tij?" Nëse thoshin: "Po", ai ia falte namazin e xhenazes. E nëse thoshin: "Jo", ai thoshte: "Faljani namazin shokut tuaj".
Kur Allahu i Madhëruar na dha çlirimet (fitoret), ai tha: "Unë jam më i afërt për besimtarët sesa vetë ata. Kushdo që lë borxh, ai mbetet mbi mua (për t'u shlyer), ndërsa kushdo që lë pasuri, ajo u takon trashëgimtarëve"».
