Hadith #2804 - Musnad al-Tayalisi

٢٨٠٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «لَا تَفْتَخِرُوا بِآبَائِكُمُ الَّذِينَ مُوِّتُوا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، لَمَا يُدَهْدِهُ الْجُعَلُ بِمَنْخِرَيْهِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ آبَائِكُمُ الَّذِينَ مَاتُوا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ».

#2804 2804 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Hisham narrated to us, from Ayyub, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said:

"Do not take pride in your forefathers who died during the Jahiliyyah. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, what the dung beetle rolls with its nose is better than your forefathers who died during the Jahiliyyah."

2804 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Hishami, nga Ejjubi, nga Ikrime, nga Ibn Abbasi, i cili ka thënë: Ka thënë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.): «Mos u mburrni me baballarët tuaj që kanë vdekur në xhahilijet. Pasha Atë, në Dorën e të Cilit është shpirti im, ajo që rrotullon brumbulli me hundën e tij është më e mirë se baballarët tuaj që kanë vdekur në xhahilijet».
