وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، أَنَّ عِتْبَانَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، كَانَ يَؤُمُّ قَوْمَهُ وَهُوَ أَعْمَى وَأَنَّهُ قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِنَّهَا تَكُونُ الظُّلْمَةُ وَالْمَطَرُ وَالسَّيْلُ وَأَنَا رَجُلٌ ضَرِيرُ الْبَصَرِ فَصَلِّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فِي بَيْتِي مَكَانًا أَتَّخِذْهُ مُصَلًّى ‏.‏ فَجَاءَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ أَيْنَ تُحِبُّ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَأَشَارَ لَهُ إِلَى مَكَانٍ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ فَصَلَّى فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏
#421 Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Mahmud ibn
Rabi al-Ansari that Utban ibn Malik, who was a blind man, used to lead
his people in prayer, and he said to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah
bless him and grant him peace, "Sometimes it is dark and rainy and
there is a lot of water around outside, and I am a man who has lost
his sight. Messenger of Allah, pray in a certain place in my house so
that I can take it as a place to pray." The Messenger of Allah, may
Allah bless him and grant him peace, came to him and said, "Where
would you like me to pray?" He indicated a place to him and the
Messengerof Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, prayed
there.

Transmeton Itban ibn Maliku: Ai ishte i verbër dhe i udhëhiqte njerëzit e tij në namaz. Ai i tha të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.): "Ndonjëherë është errësirë, bie shi e ka vërshime uji, ndërsa unë jam një njeri që e kam humbur shikimin. O i Dërguari i Allahut, fal namazin në një vend të shtëpisë sime, që ta marr atë si musal-la (vendfalje)." I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) erdhi tek ai dhe i tha: "Ku dëshiron që të falem?" Ai i tregoi një vend në shtëpi dhe i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) u fal aty.
