أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، قَالَ كَانَ سَهْلُ بْنُ حُنَيْفٍ وَقَيْسُ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ بِالْقَادِسِيَّةِ فَمُرَّ عَلَيْهِمَا بِجَنَازَةٍ فَقَامَا فَقِيلَ لَهُمَا إِنَّهَا مِنْ أَهْلِ الأَرْضِ . فَقَالاَ مُرَّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِجَنَازَةٍ فَقَامَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّهُ يَهُودِيٌّ . فَقَالَ
" أَلَيْسَتْ نَفْسًا " .

It was narrated that 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Laila said:
"Sahl bin Hunaif and Qais bin Sa'd bin 'Ubadah were in Al-Qadisiyyah when a funeral passed by them, so they stood up and it was said to them: 'It is one of the local people.' They said: 'A funeral passed the Messenger of Allah and he stood up, and it was said to him: It Is a Jew. He said: 'Is it not a soul?"'
Transmeton Sehl ibn Hunejfi dhe Kajs ibn Sad ibn Ubade: Ata ishin në Kadisije kur pranë tyre kaloi një xhenaze, kështu që u ngritën në këmbë. Kur u njoftuan se ajo i përkiste një prej banorëve të vendit, ata thanë: "Një xhenaze kaloi pranë të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.) dhe ai u ngrit në këmbë. Kur i thanë se ai ishte çifut, ai tha: 'A nuk është ai një shpirt?'"
