حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ جَالَسْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَكْثَرَ مِنْ مِائَةِ مَرَّةٍ فَكَانَ أَصْحَابُهُ يَتَنَاشَدُونَ الشِّعْرَ وَيَتَذَاكَرُونَ أَشْيَاءَ مِنْ أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَهُوَ سَاكِتٌ فَرُبَّمَا تَبَسَّمَ مَعَهُمْ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ أَيْضًا .

Narrated Jabir bin Samurah:
"I sat with the Prophet (ﷺ) more than one-hundred times. His Companions used to recite poetry and talk about things that occurred during Jahiliyyah, and he would remain silent, and sometimes he would smile along with them."
Transmeton Xhabir ibn Semure: Kam ndenjur me Pejgamberin (s.a.v.s.) më shumë se njëqind herë. Shokët e tij recitonin poezi dhe bisedonin për gjëra nga koha e Xhahilijetit, ndërsa ai heshtte, e ndonjëherë edhe buzëqeshte bashkë me ta.
