أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ الْجُلَاحِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْمَخْزُومِيِّ ، عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ : أَتَى رِجَالٌ مِنْ بَنِي مُدْلِجٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّا أَصْحَابُ هَذَا الْبَحْرِ نُعَالِجُ الصَّيْدَ عَلَى رَمَثٍ فَنَعْزُبُ فِيهِ اللَّيْلَةَ وَاللَّيْلَتَيْنِ وَالثَّلَاثَ وَالْأَرْبَعَ، وَنَحْمِلُ مَعَنَا مِنْ الْعَذْبِ لِشِفَاهِنَا، فَإِنْ نَحْنُ تَوَضَّأْنَا بِهِ، خَشِينَا عَلَى أَنْفُسِنَا، وَإِنْ نَحْنُ آثَرْنَا بِأَنْفُسِنَا وَتَوَضَّأْنَا مِنْ الْبَحْرِ، وَجَدْنَا فِي أَنْفُسِنَا مِنْ ذَلِكَ، فَخَشِينَا أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ طَهُورًا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ الطَّاهِرُ مَاؤُهُ الْحَلَالُ مَيْتَتُهُ "
#75 Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad al-Harrani informed us, Muhammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from al-Julah, from 'Abdullah ibn Sa'id al-Makhzumi, from al-Mughirah ibn Abi Burdah, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: Some men from Banu Mudlij came to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, we are people of this sea; we engage in fishing on rafts and stay away at sea for a night, two, three, or four nights. We carry fresh water with us for our drinking; if we perform ablution with it, we fear for ourselves (due to thirst), and if we prioritize ourselves (for drinking) and perform ablution from the sea, we find some unease in ourselves regarding that, fearing that it might not be purifying." So the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "Perform ablution with it, for its water is pure and its dead [creatures] are lawful."

Transmeton Ebu Hurejre: Disa burra nga fisi Benu Mudlixh erdhën te i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) dhe i thanë: "O i Dërguari i Allahut, ne jemi njerëz të këtij deti, peshkojmë mbi varka druri dhe qëndrojmë në të për një, dy, tri apo katër net. Me vete marrim pak ujë të ëmbël sa për të pirë. Nëse marrim abdest me të, kemi frikë se do të mbetemi me etje, ndërsa nëse marrim abdest me ujin e detit, kemi dyshime në veten tonë sepse kemi frikë se ai nuk është i pastër." Atëherë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: "Merrni abdest me të, sepse uji i tij është i pastër dhe e lejuar (hallall) është ngordhësira e tij."
