أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ قِرَاءَةً، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ مِنْ آلِ الْأَزْرَقِ، أَنَّ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ وَهُوَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّارِ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، يَقُولُ : سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : إِنَّا نَرْكَبُ الْبَحْرَ وَمَعَنَا الْقَلِيلُ مِنْ الْمَاءِ، فَإِنْ تَوَضَّأْنَا بِهِ عَطِشْنَا، أَفَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ مَاءِ الْبَحْرِ؟، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" هُوَ الطَّهُورُ مَاؤُهُ، الْحِلُّ مَيْتَتُهُ "
#76 Muhammad ibn al-Mubarak informed us, on the authority of Malik through recitation, from Safwan ibn Sulaym, from Sa'id ibn Salamah of the family of al-Azraq, that al-Mughirah ibn Abi Burdah—who was a man from the tribe of Banu 'Abd al-Dar—informed him that he heard Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, say: A man asked the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), saying: "We travel upon the sea and carry with us only a small amount of water. If we perform ablution with it, we will become thirsty. Should we then perform ablution with seawater?" The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) replied: "Its water is purifying, and its dead [creatures] are lawful."

Transmeton Ebu Hurejra: Një burrë e pyeti të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.): "Ne lundrojmë në det dhe kemi me vete pak ujë. Nëse marrim abdest me të, do të mbetemi të etur. A mund të marrim abdest me ujin e detit?" I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: "Uji i tij është i pastër, ndërsa gjallesat e tij të ngordhura janë të lejuara."
