Ahmad ibn Khalid informed us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswad, from his father, who said: I asked 'A'isha (may Allah be pleased with her): "What did the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) do when he intended to sleep while he was in a state of major ritual impurity (janaba)?" She said: "He would perform ablution (wudu) as he did for prayer, then he would sleep."
