Abu Nu'aym informed us, Ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "When one of you wakes up from his sleep, he should not dip his hand into the ablution water until he has washed it three times."
