Abu al-Walid al-Tayalisi informed us, Abu 'Awanah related to us, from Abu Bishr, from Yusuf ibn Mahak, from Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said: "The woman in postnatal bleeding waits for forty days or thereabouts."
