Hadith #327 - Sunan ad-Darimi

أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتَوَائِيِّ ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ :" أَرْبَعَةٌ لَا يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ : عِنْدَ الْخَلَاءِ، وَفِي الْحَمَّامِ، وَالْجُنُبُ، وَالْحَائِضُ، إِلَّا الْآيَةَ وَنَحْوَهَا لِلْجُنُبِ وَالْحَائِضِ "

#327 Yazid ibn Harun informed us, from Hisham al-Dastawa'i, from Hammad, from Ibrahim, who said: "Four do not recite the Qur'an: when relieving oneself, in the bathhouse, the person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub), and the menstruating woman, except for a verse or the like for the one in major ritual impurity and the menstruating woman."
