#341 Abu Zayd Sa'id ibn al-Rabi' informed us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from al-Hakam, who said: I heard Dharr narrating from Wa'il ibn Muhanah, from 'Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, from the Prophet (pbuh), who said to the women: "Give in charity, for you are indeed the majority of the inhabitants of the Fire." A woman who was not from the elite of the women asked: "Why, or by what cause, or for what reason?" He replied: "Because you curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands." He [the narrator] said: And 'Abdullah said: "I have not seen any among those deficient in religion and intellect more dominant over men of authority in their affairs than women." A man said to 'Abdullah: "What is the deficiency of her intellect?" He replied: "The testimony of two women has been made equivalent to the testimony of one man." He said: It was asked: "What is the deficiency of her religion?" He replied: "She remains for such and such a number of days and nights without offering any prayer to Allah."
