أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَلَفٍ ، أَنْبأَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ . وَابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخَّرَ الصَّلَاةَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ، فَقِيلَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، الصَّلَاةَ، نَامَ النِّسَاءُ وَالْوِلْدَانُ، فَخَرَجَ وَهُوَ يَمْسَحُ الْمَاءَ عَنْ شِقِّهِ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ :" هُوَ الْوَقْتُ لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي "
#543 Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Abi Khalaf informed us, Sufyan reported to us, from 'Amr, from 'Ata', from Ibn 'Abbas; and [also] Ibn Jurayj, from 'Ata', from Ibn 'Abbas, that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) delayed the prayer one night, and it was said: "O Messenger of Allah, the prayer! The women and children have fallen asleep." He then came out while wiping water from his side, and he was saying: "This is the [correct] time, were it not that I would impose a hardship upon my nation."

Transmeton Ibn Abbasi: I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) e vonoi namazin një natë, saqë i thanë: "O i Dërguari i Allahut, namazi! Gratë dhe fëmijët kanë rënë në gjumë." Atëherë ai doli duke fshirë ujin nga koka e tij dhe tha: "Kjo do të ishte koha e vërtetë (e këtij namazi), sikur të mos e rëndoja umetin tim."
