أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ مُعَاذًا كَانَ يُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ يَأْتِي قَوْمَهُ فَيُصَلِّي بِهِمْ، فَجَاءَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَصَلَّى الْعَتَمَةَ، وَقَرَأَ الْبَقَرَةَ، فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ فَصَلَّى، ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ، فَبَلَغَهُ أَنَّ مُعَاذًا يَنَالُ مِنْهُ، فَشَكَى ذَلِكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِمُعَاذٍ :" فَاتِنًا، فَاتِنًا، فَاتِنًا، أَوْ فَتَّانًا، فَتَّانًا، فَتَّانًا، ثُمَّ أَمَرَهُ بِسُورَتَيْنِ مِنْ وَسَطِ الْمُفَصَّلِ ". قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد : نَأْخُذُ بِهَذَا
#618 Sa'id bin 'Amir informed us, from Shu'bah, from 'Amr bin Dinar, from Jabir bin 'Abdullah, that Mu'adh used to pray with the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), then he would come to his people and lead them in prayer. One night he came and prayed the night prayer ('Atamah) and recited Surah al-Baqarah. A man from the Ansar came and prayed, then he left. It reached him that Mu'adh had spoken disparagingly of him, so he complained about that to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh). The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) then said to Mu'adh: "Are you one who causes trial? Are you one who causes trial? Are you one who causes trial?"—or "A source of temptation? A source of temptation? A source of temptation?"—then he commanded him to recite two Surahs from the middle of the Mufassal.

Transmeton Xhabir bin Abdullahu: Muadhi falej bashkë me të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.), pastaj shkonte te populli i tij dhe falte namazin me ta. Një natë ai erdhi dhe fali namazin e darkës duke lexuar suren el-Bekare. Një burrë nga ensarët u fal me të e pastaj u largua. Atij i arriti lajmi se Muadhi kishte folur rëndë për të, ndaj u ankua te i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.). I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) i tha Muadhit: "A je sprovues, sprovues, sprovues?" pastaj e urdhëroi atë të lexonte dy sure nga mesi i Mufassal-it. Ebu Muhamedi ka thënë: "Ne bazohemi në këtë".
