Amr ibn Zurarah informed us, Ismail—who is Ibn 'Ulayyah—narrated to us, Ayyub narrated to us, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, that he said regarding the prostration in [Surah] Sad: "It is not among the mandatory prostrations, yet I have seen the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) prostrating in it."
