أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ يَخْطُبُ، إِذْ دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ فَعَرَّضَ بِهِ عُمَرُ، فَقَالَ : يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، مَا زِدْتُ أَنْ تَوَضَّأْتُ حِينَ سَمِعْتُ النِّدَاءَ. فَقَالَ : وَالْوُضُوءَ أَيْضًا؟ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ :" إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ "
#859 Muhammad ibn Yusuf informed us, al-Awza'i narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Abu Salama ibn Abd al-Rahman, who said: Abu Hurayra narrated to me, saying: While Umar ibn al-Khattab was delivering a sermon, a man entered, and Umar reproached him. The man said: "O Commander of the Faithful, I did nothing more than perform ablution as soon as I heard the call." He (Umar) said: "And only the ablution as well? Did you not hear the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) say: 'When one of you comes to Friday prayer, let him perform a ritual bath'?"

Transmeton Ebu Hurejra: Ndërsa Omer ibn el-Hatabi po mbante hytben, hyri një burrë dhe Omeri e qortoi atë. Ai tha: "O Prijës i Besimtarëve, sapo dëgjova thirrjen, nuk bëra asgjë tjetër përveçse mora abdest." Omeri tha: "Edhe vetëm abdestin? A nuk e ke dëgjuar të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.) duke thënë: 'Kur ndonjëri prej jush vjen për namazin e xhumasë, le të marrë gusëll'?"
