أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو يَعْنِي ابْنَ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهِ عَنْهُمَا، أَنَّهُ عَجِبَ مِمَّنْ يَتَقَدَّمُ الشَّهْرَ ، وَيَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ، فَصُومُوا، وَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ فَأَفْطِرُوا، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ، فَأَكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ ثَلَاثِينَ يَوْمًا "
#993 Ubayd Allah bin Sa'id informed us, Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of 'Amr—meaning Ibn Dinar—on the authority of Muhammad bin Jubayr, on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), that he expressed astonishment at those who precede the month, and he said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "When you see it, fast; and when you see it, break your fast. If it is obscured from you, then complete the count of thirty days."

Transmeton Ibn Abasi se ai u habit me ata që e paraprijnë muajin (e fillojnë agjërimin para kohe) dhe tha: I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) ka thënë: "Kur ta shihni atë (hënën e re), agjëroni, dhe kur ta shihni atë, përfundojeni agjërimin. Nëse vranësira jua zë shikimin, atëherë plotësojeni numrin në tridhjetë ditë."
