#1509 Abu al-Mughira informed us, al-Awza'i told us, Yahya ibn Abi Kathir told us, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim, the son of Jabir ibn 'Atik told me, my father told me, that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "Of protective jealousy, there is that which Allah loves, and there is that which Allah hates. As for the protective jealousy which Allah loves, it is protective jealousy in matters of suspicion. And the protective jealousy which Allah hates is protective jealousy where there is no suspicion."
