حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَأُتِيَ بِرَجُلٍ قَدْ شَرِبَ خَمْرًا فَضَرَبَهُ بِجَرِيدَتَيْنِ "، ثُمَّ فَعَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ عُمَرُ : اسْتَشَارَ النَّاسَ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ : أَخَفُّ الْحُدُودِ : ثَمَانِينَ، قَالَ : فَفَعَلَ
#1588 Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Anas, that the Prophet (pbuh) was brought a man who had drunk wine, and he struck him with two palm branches. Then Abu Bakr did the same. When it was the time of Umar, he consulted the people, and Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf said: "The lightest of the prescribed punishments is eighty." He said: So he did so.
