حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ الدَّانَاجُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُضَيْنُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الرَّقَاشِيُّ ، قَالَ : شَهِدْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ وَأُتِيَ بِالْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ :" جَلَدَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْبَعِينَ، وَجَلَدَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَرْبَعِينَ، وَعُمَرُ ثَمَانِينَ، وَكُلٌّ سُنَّةٌ "

Muslim bin Ibrahim narrated to us, Abdul Aziz bin al-Mukhtar informed us, Abdullah al-Danaj narrated to us, Hudhayn bin al-Mundhir al-Raqashi narrated to us, who said: I witnessed Uthman bin Affan when al-Walid bin Uqbah was brought [to him], then Ali said: "The Prophet (pbuh) lashed forty, and Abu Bakr lashed forty, and Umar eighty, and each is a Sunnah."
Transmeton Hudejn b. el-Munthir el-Rakashi: Isha dëshmitar te Osman b. Affani kur ia sollën el-Velid b. Ukben, e Aliu tha: "Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) fshikulloi dyzet herë, Ebu Bekri dyzet, ndërsa Omeri tetëdhjetë; dhe secila është sunet."
