أَخْبَرَنَا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَحْرِيَّةَ ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" الْغَزْوُ غَزْوَانِ : فَأَمَّا مَنْ غَزَا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ اللَّهِ وَأَطَاعَ الْإِمَامَ، وَأَنْفَقَ الْكَرِيمَةَ، وَيَاسَرَ الشَّرِيكَ وَاجْتَنَبَ الْفَسَادَ، فَإِنَّ نَوْمَهُ وَنُبْهَهُ أَجْرٌ كُلُّهُ، وَأَمَّا مَنْ غَزَا فَخْرًا وَرِيَاءً وَسُمْعَةً، وَعَصَى الْإِمَامَ، وَأَفْسَدَ فِي الْأَرْضِ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَرْجِعُ بِالْكَفَافِ "
#1693 Nu'aym bin Hammad informed us, Baqiyyah bin al-Walid narrated to us, from Bahir bin Sa'd, from Khalid bin Ma'dan, from Abi Bahriyyah, from Mu'adh bin Jabal, who said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "Military expeditions are of two kinds: as for the one who fights seeking the Countenance of Allah, obeys the leader, spends of his precious wealth, treats his associate with ease, and avoids corruption, then his sleep and his wakefulness are entirely a reward. But as for the one who fights out of pride, for show, and for reputation, disobeys the leader, and spreads corruption in the land, then he shall not return with his deeds balancing out."

Transmeton Muadh bin Xhebeli se i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) ka thënë: "Luftimi është dy llojesh: ai që lufton duke kërkuar kënaqësinë e Allahut, i bindet Imamit, shpenzon nga pasuria e tij e çmueshme, sillet mirë me shokun e tij dhe i shmanget shkatërrimit, atëherë gjumi dhe zgjimi i tij janë që të dy shpërblim. Ndërsa ai që lufton për mburrje, syfaqësi e famë, e kundërshton Imamin dhe bën shkatërrime në tokë, ai nuk do të kthehet as me aq sa për të mbuluar veten (pa asnjë shpërblim)."
