Hadith #1729 - Sunan ad-Darimi

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ :" كُنَّا يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ أَلْفًا وَأَرْبَعَ مِائَةٍ، فَبَايَعْنَاهُ وَعُمَرُ آخِذٌ بِيَدِهِ تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ وَهِيَ : سَمُرَةٌ ، وَقَالَ : بَايَعْنَاهُ عَلَى أَنْ لَا نَفِرّ، وَلَمْ نُبَايِعْهُ عَلَى الْمَوْتِ "

#1729 Ahmad bin Abdullah informed us, Layth bin Sa'd narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir bin Abdullah, that he said: "We were one thousand and four hundred on the day of al-Hudaybiyyah, and we pledged allegiance to him (pbuh) while Umar was holding his hand under the tree, which was a Samurah tree. And he said: We pledged allegiance to him on the condition that we would not flee, and we did not pledge allegiance to him upon death."

Transmeton Xhabir bin Abdullahu: Në ditën e Hudejbijes ishim një mijë e katërqind veta dhe i dhamë besën Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.), ndërsa Omeri ia mbante dorën nën pemë, e cila ishte pemë Samurah. Ai tha: "I dhamë besën se nuk do të iknim dhe nuk i dhamë besën për vdekje."
