Muhammad ibn 'Uyaynah informed us, from 'Ali ibn Mushir, from 'Ubayd Allah—he being ibn 'Umar ibn Hafs ibn 'Asim—from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, who said: A woman was found killed in one of the military expeditions of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), so the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) forbade the killing of women and children.
