#1751 Al-Qasim ibn Kathir informed us, from al-Layth ibn Sa'd, by recitation, from Abdullah ibn Junadah, from Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Hubuli: that Abu Ayyub was in an army and children were separated from their mothers, and he saw them weeping, so he began returning the child to his mother, and saying: "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: 'Whoever separates a mother from her child, Allah will separate him from his loved ones on the Day of Resurrection.'"
