أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ : أَنَّ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ كَانَ لَا يُوَرِّثُ الْأُخْتَ مِنْ الْأَبِ، وَالْأُمِّ مَعَ الْبِنْتِ حَتَّى حَدَّثَهُ الْأَسْوَدُ أَنَّ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ جَعَلَ لِلْبِنْتِ النِّصْفَ، وَلِلْأُخْتِ النِّصْفَ "، فَقَالَ : أَنْتَ رَسُولِي إِلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَة، فَأَخْبِرْهُ بِذَاكَ، وَكَانَ قَاضِيَهُ بِالْكُوفَةِ
#2138 Muhammad bin Yusuf informed us, Sufyan narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, from al-Aswad bin Yazid: That Ibn al-Zubayr used not to grant inheritance to the sister from the father and mother along with the daughter until al-Aswad narrated to him that Mu'adh bin Jabal assigned half to the daughter and half to the sister. Thereupon, he said: "You are my messenger to 'Abdullah bin 'Utba, so inform him of that," and he was his judge in Kufa.

Transmeton Esved bin Jezidi: Ibn ez-Zubejri nuk i jepte trashëgimi motrës (nga babai dhe nëna) kur kishte edhe vajzë, derisa Esvedi i tregoi se Muadh bin Xhebeli ia kishte caktuar gjysmën vajzës dhe gjysmën motrës.
