حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ يُونُسَ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل ، قَالَ : ذَكَرْنَا عِنْدَ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جَابِر : أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ فِي أَخَوَاتٍ لِأَبٍ وَأُمٍّ وَإِخْوَةٍ وَأَخَوَاتٍ لِأَبٍ : أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُعْطِي لِلْأَخَوَاتِ مِنْ الْأَبِ وَالْأُمِّ الثُّلُثَيْنِ، وَمَا بَقِيَ فَلِلذُّكُورِ دُونَ الْإِنَاثِ، فَقَالَ حَكِيمٌ : قَالَ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ :" هَذَا مِنْ عَمَلِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ أَنْ يَرِثَ الرِّجَالُ دُونَ النِّسَاءِ إِنَّ إِخْوَتَهُنَّ قَدْ رُدُّوا عَلَيْهِنَّ "
#2150 Sa'id ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, from 'Isa ibn Yunus, from Isma'il, who said: We mentioned in the presence of Hakim ibn Jabir that Ibn Mas'ud said regarding sisters from a father and mother and brothers and sisters from a father: that he used to give the sisters from the father and mother two-thirds, and whatever remained was for the males to the exclusion of the females. Hakim said: Zayd ibn Thabit said: "This is from the practice of the Jahiliyyah (the pre-Islamic period of ignorance)—that men inherit to the exclusion of women; indeed, their brothers have been returned to them."

Transmeton Zejd bin Thabiti: U përmend te Hakim bin Xhabiri se Ibn Mes'udi thoshte për motrat nga babai e nëna dhe vëllezërit e motrat nga babai: Ai u jepte motrave nga babai e nëna dy të tretat, ndërsa pjesën e mbetur ua jepte vetëm meshkujve e jo femrave. Atëherë Hakimi tha: Zejd bin Thabiti ka thënë: "Ky është prej veprimeve të xhahilijetit, që të trashëgojnë burrat e jo gratë; në të vërtetë, vëllezërit e tyre ua kthejnë atyre pjesën e tyre."
