Hadith #2184 - Sunan ad-Darimi

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ الْعَبْسِيِّ هُوَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ الْجَد؟ فَقَالَ :" أَيُّ أَبٍ لَكَ أَكْبَر؟ فَقُلْتُ أَنَا : آدَمُ ، قَالَ : أَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ إِلَى قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى : # يَا بَنِي آدَمَ سورة الأعراف آية 26 #

#2184 Muhammad bin Yusuf narrated to us, from Sufyan, from al-'Absi—who is 'Abdullah bin Khalid—from 'Abd al-Rahman bin Ma'qil, who said: Ibn 'Abbas was asked about the grandfather? He said: "Which of your fathers is the eldest?" I replied: "Adam." He said: "Have you not heard the statement of Allah the Exalted: {O children of Adam} [Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 26]?"

Transmeton Ibn Abasi: Ai u pyet rreth (trashëgimisë së) gjyshit dhe tha: "Kush është paraardhësi yt më i madh?" Unë thashë: "Ademi." Ai tha: "A nuk i ke dëgjuar fjalët e Allahut të Lartësuar: 'O bijtë e Ademit...' (Sure El-A'raf, ajeti 26)."
