أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ جَابِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْخٌ يُكَنَّى أَبَا عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ، قَالَ :" سَيَبْلَى الْقُرْآنُ فِي صُدُورِ أَقْوَامٍ كَمَا يَبْلَى الثَّوْبُ، فَيَتَهَافَتُ، يَقْرَءُونَهُ لَا يَجِدُونَ لَهُ شَهْوَةً وَلَا لَذَّةً، يَلْبَسُونَ جُلُودَ الضَّأْنِ عَلَى قُلُوبِ الذِّئَابِ، أَعْمَالُهُمْ طَمَعٌ لَا يُخَالِطُهُ خَوْفٌ، إِنْ قَصَّرُوا، قَالُوا : سَنَبْلُغُ، وَإِنْ أَسَاءُوا، قَالُوا : سَيُغْفَرُ لَنَا، إِنَّا لَا نُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا "
#2602 Muhammad ibn al-Mubarak informed us, Sadaqah ibn Khalid narrated to us, from Ibn Jabir, a Sheikh nicknamed Abu Amr narrated to us, from Mu'adh ibn Jabal, who said: "The Quran will wear out in the chests of some people just as a garment wears out and becomes threadbare. They will recite it, finding in it neither desire nor pleasure. They wear the skins of sheep over the hearts of wolves. Their deeds are motivated by greed unmixed with fear. If they fall short, they say, 'We shall reach our goal,' and if they do evil, they say, 'It will be forgiven for us; indeed, we do not associate anything with Allah.'"

Transmeton Muadh ibn Xhebeli: Kur'ani do të vjetrohet në gjokset e disa njerëzve ashtu siç vjetrohet rroba dhe griset. Ata do ta lexojnë atë, por nuk do të ndiejnë për të as dëshirë e as ëmbëlsi. Do të veshin lëkurë delesh mbi zemra ujqërish. Punët e tyre do të jenë lakmi që nuk përzihet me frikë. Nëse bëjnë lëshime, thonë: "Do t’ia arrijmë", e nëse bëjnë keq, thonë: "Do të na falet, sepse ne nuk i shoqërojmë Allahut asgjë."
