أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الرَّمْلِيُّ ، عَنْ مَسَرَّةَ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ مِنْ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحَرَامِ مِنْ لَخْمٍ ، عَنْ الْوَضِينِ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّا كُنَّا أَهْلَ جَاهِلِيَّةٍ وَعِبَادَةِ أَوْثَانٍ، فَكُنَّا نَقْتُلُ الْأَوْلَادَ، وَكَانَتْ عِنْدِي ابْنَةُ لِي فَلَمَّا أَجَابَتْ، وَكَانَتْ مَسْرُورَةً بِدُعَائِي إِذَا دَعَوْتُهَا، فَدَعَوْتُهَا يَوْمًا، فَاتَّبَعَتْنِي فَمَرَرْتُ حَتَّى أَتَيْتُ بِئْرًا مِنْ أَهْلِي غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ، فَأَخَذْتُ بِيَدِهَا فَرَدَّيْتُ بِهَا فِي الْبِئْرِ، وَكَانَ آخِرَ عَهْدِي بِهَا أَنْ تَقُولَ : يَا أَبَتَاهُ ! يَا أَبَتَاهُ ! فَبَكَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى وَكَفَ دَمْعُ عَيْنَيْهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ جُلَسَاءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَحْزَنْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : " كُفَّ فَإِنَّهُ يَسْأَلُ عَمَّا أَهَمَّهُ "، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ : " أَعِدْ عَلَيَّ حَدِيثَكَ " فَأَعَادَهُ، فَبَكَى حَتَّى وَكَفَ الدَّمْعُ مِنْ عَيْنَيْهِ عَلَى لِحْيَتِهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ :" إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ وَضَعَ عَنْ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ مَا عَمِلُوا، فَاسْتَأْنِفْ عَمَلَكَ "
#2759 Al-Walid bin al-Nadr al-Ramli informed us, from Masarrah bin Ma’bad of the Banu al-Harith bin Abi al-Haram of the Lakhm tribe, from al-Wadin, that a man came to the Prophet (pbuh) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, we were a people of ignorance and idol worship, and we used to kill our children. I had a daughter of mine, and when she reached an age where she could respond and was delighted by my call whenever I called her, I called her one day and she followed me. I walked until I came to a well belonging to my family that was not far off. I took her by her hand and cast her into the well, and the last I heard from her was her crying: 'O my father! O my father!'" Thereupon, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) wept until the tears flowed from his eyes. A man among those sitting with the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said to the caller: "You have grieved the Messenger of Allah (pbuh)." But the Prophet (pbuh) said to him: "Refrain, for he is asking about what is of great concern to him." Then he said to the man: "Repeat your story to me," and he repeated it. He (pbuh) wept until the tears flowed from his eyes onto his beard. Then he said to him: "Indeed, Allah has remitted for the people of the Pre-Islamic Ignorance what they did, so start your deeds anew."

Transmeton El-Wedini: Një burrë erdhi te Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) dhe tha: "O i Dërguari i Allahut, ne ishim njerëz të xhahilijetit dhe adhurues të idhujve, prandaj i vrisnim fëmijët tanë. Unë kisha një vajzë dhe kur ajo u rrit e gëzohej kur e thirrja, një ditë e thirra dhe ajo më ndoqi. Shkova derisa arrita te një pus i familjes sime aty pranë. E kapa për dore dhe e hodha në pus. Fjalët e saj të fundit që dëgjova ishin: 'O babai im! O babai im!'" Atëherë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) qau aq shumë saqë i rrodhën lotët nga sytë. Një burrë nga të pranishmit i tha: "E lëndove të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.)." Mirëpo, ai (s.a.v.s.) i tha: "Lere, sepse ai po pyet për atë që e mundon." Pastaj i tha: "Ma trego prapë ngjarjen tënde." Ai e përsëriti dhe ai (s.a.v.s.) qau derisa lotët i rrodhën mbi mjekër. Pastaj i tha: "Vërtet, Allahu ua ka falur njerëzve të xhahilijetit atë që kanë bërë, andaj fillo punën tënde nga e para."
