أَخْبَرَنَا مُجَاهِدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي فَرْوَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ كَعْبَ الْأَحْبَارِ : كَيْفَ تَجِدُ نَعْتَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ؟، فَقَالَ كَعْبٌ :" نَجِدْهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يُولَدُ بِمَكَّةَ ، وَيُهَاجِرُ إِلَى طَابَةَ ، وَيَكُونُ مُلْكُهُ بِالشَّامِ ، وَلَيْسَ بِفَحَّاشٍ، وَلَا صَخَّابٍ فِي الْأَسْوَاقِ، وَلَا يُكَافِئُ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ، وَلَكِنْ يَعْفُو وَيَغْفِرُ، أُمَّتُهُ الْحَمَّادُونَ، يَحْمَدُونَ اللَّهَ فِي كُلِّ سَرَّاءَ، وَضَرَّاءَ وَيُكَبِّرُونَ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ نَجْدٍ، يُوَضِّئُونَ أَطْرَافَهُمْ، وَيَأْتَزِرُونَ فِي أَوْسَاطِهِمْ، يُصَفُّونَ فِي صَلاتِهِمْ كَمَا يُصَفُّونَ فِي قِتَالِهِمْ، دَوِيُّهُمْ فِي مَسَاجِدِهِمْ كَدَوِيِّ النَّحْلِ، يُسْمَعُ مُنَادِيهِمْ فِي جَوِّ السَّمَاءِ "
#2765 Mujahid ibn Musa informed us, Ma'n ibn 'Isa narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to us, from Abi Farwah, from Ibn 'Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, that he asked Ka'b al-Ahbar: "How do you find the description of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) in the Torah?" Ka'b said: "We find him as: Muhammad ibn 'Abdullah, born in Mecca, migrating to Tabah, and his dominion shall be in ash-Sham. He is neither obscene, nor shouting in the markets, nor does he requite evil with evil; rather, he pardons and forgives. His nation are the 'Hammadun' (those who praise much), who praise Allah in every state of ease and hardship and proclaim Allah's greatness upon every high ground. They perform ablution on their limbs and wrap lower garments around their waists. They stand in ranks for their prayers just as they stand in ranks for their fighting. Their humming in their mosques is like the humming of bees, and their caller is heard in the heights of the heaven."

Transmeton Ibn Abasi se ai e pyeti Ke'b el-Ahbarin: "Si e gjen të përshkruar të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.) në Tevrat?" Ke'bi u përgjigj: "E gjejmë të tillë: Muhamedi, biri i Abdullahut, lind në Mekë, emigron në Tabe (Medinë) dhe pushteti i tij do të jetë në Sham. Ai nuk është i pamoralshëm në fjalë e as i zhurmshëm nëpër tregje. Nuk ia kthen të keqen me të keqe, por fal dhe toleron. Ummeti i tij janë 'Hamadunët' (lavdëruesit), të cilët e falënderojnë Allahun në çdo gëzim e fatkeqësi dhe e madhërojnë Atë në çdo lartësi. Ata marrin abdest për gjymtyrët e tyre dhe lidhin rrobat në bel. Rreshtohen në namazin e tyre ashtu siç rreshtohen në luftë. Nëpër xhamitë e tyre dëgjohet një uturimë si zhurma e bletëve dhe thirrësi i tyre dëgjohet në lartësitë e qiellit."
