أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، قَالَ :" تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ، فَحُبِسَ بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِهِ وَلَيْلَتَهُ وَالْغَدَ حَتَّى دُفِنَ لَيْلَةَ الْأَرْبِعَاءِ، وَقَالُوا : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَمُتْ، وَلَكِنْ عُرِجَ بِرُوحِهِ كَمَا عُرِجَ بِرُوحِ مُوسَى ، فَقَامَ عُمَرُ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَمُتْ، وَلَكِنْ عُرِجَ بِرُوحِهِ كَمَا عُرِجَ بِرُوحِ مُوسَى ، وَاللَّهِ لَا يَمُوتُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى يَقْطَعَ أَيْدِيَ أَقْوَامٍ وَأَلْسِنَتَهُمْ، فَلَمْ يَزَلْ عُمَرُ يَتَكَلَّمُ حَتَّى أَزْبَدَ شِدْقَاهُ مِمَّا يُوعِدُ وَيَقُولُ، فَقَامَ الْعَبَّاسُ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ مَاتَ، وَإِنَّهُ لَبَشَرٌ وَإِنَّهُ يَأْسَنُ كَمَا يَأْسَنُ الْبَشَرُ، أَيْ قَوْمِ فَادْفِنُوا صَاحِبَكُمْ، فَإِنَّهُ أَكْرَمُ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ أَنْ يُمِيتَهُ إِمَاتَتَيْنِ، أَيُمِيتُ أَحَدَكُمْ إِمَاتَةً وَيُمِيتُهُ إِمَاتَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ أَكْرَمُ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ ذَلِكَ؟، أَيْ قَوْمِ، فَادْفِنُوا صَاحِبَكُمْ، فَإِنْ يَكُ كَمَا تَقُولُونَ فَلَيْسَ بِعَزِيزٍ عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يَبْحَثَ عَنْهُ التُّرَابَ، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاللَّهِ مَا مَاتَ حَتَّى تَرَكَ السَّبِيلَ نَهْجًا وَاضِحًا، فَأَحَلَّ الْحَلَالَ، وَحَرَّمَ الْحَرَامَ، وَنَكَحَ وَطَلَّقَ، وَحَارَبَ وَسَالَمَ، مَا كَانَ رَاعِي غَنَمٍ يَتَّبِعُ بِهَا صَاحِبُهَا رُءُوسَ الْجِبَالِ يَخْبِطُ عَلَيْهَا الْعِضَاهَ بِمِخْبَطِهِ وَيَمْدُرُ حَوْضَهَا بِيَدِهِ بِأَنْصَبَ وَلَا أَدْأَبَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، كَانَ فِيكُمْ، أَيْ قَوْمِ فَادْفِنُوا صَاحِبَكُمْ، قَالَ : وَجَعَلَتْ أُمُّ أَيْمَنَ تَبْكِي، فَقِيلَ لَهَا : يَا أُمَّ أَيْمَنَ تَبْكِينَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟، قَالَتْ : إِنِّي وَاللَّهِ مَا أَبْكِي عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ لا أَكُونَ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ قَدْ ذَهَبَ إِلَى مَا هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا، وَلَكِنِّي أَبْكِي عَلَى خَبَرِ السَّمَاءِ انْقَطَعَ، قَالَ حَمَّادٌ : خَنَقَتِ الْعَبْرَةُ أَيُّوبَ حِينَ بَلَغَ هَا هُنَا "
#2840 Sulayman ibn Harb informed us, Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, on the authority of Ayyub, from Ikrimah, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) passed away on Monday. He remained for the rest of that day, the night, and the next day until he was buried on Wednesday night. People said: 'Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) has not died, but rather his soul was ascended as the soul of Moses was ascended.' Then Umar stood up and said: 'Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) has not died, but rather his soul was ascended as the soul of Moses was ascended. By Allah, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) shall not die until he cuts off the hands and tongues of certain people.' Umar continued to speak until foam appeared at the corners of his mouth from what he was threatening and saying. Then al-Abbas stood up and said: 'Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) has died. He was a human being, and he undergoes physical change as human beings do. O people, bury your companion, for he is more noble to Allah than that He should cause him to die twice. Would He cause one of you to die once and cause him to die twice, while he is more noble to Allah than that? O people, bury your companion. If it be as you say, it is not difficult for Allah to uncover the earth from him. By Allah, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) did not die until he left the path as a clear way; he permitted the lawful, prohibited the forbidden, married and divorced, and waged war and made peace. No shepherd following his flock to the mountain peaks, beating the thorny trees with his staff for them and plastering their watering trough with his hands, was more exhausted or more diligent than the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) was among you. O people, bury your companion.' He said: 'And Umm Ayman began to weep, so it was said to her: "O Umm Ayman, do you weep for the Messenger of Allah (pbuh)?" She replied: "By Allah, I am not weeping for the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) because I do not know that he has gone to what is better for him than this world; rather, I am weeping because the revelation from the heavens has ceased."' Hammad said: 'Tears choked Ayyub when he reached this point.'"

I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) ndërroi jetë ditën e hënë. Ai qëndroi pjesën e mbetur të asaj dite, natën dhe të nesërmen, derisa u varros natën e së mërkurës. Disa njerëz thanë: "I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) nuk ka vdekur, por shpirti i tij është ngjitur lart ashtu siç u ngjit shpirti i Musait." Atëherë u ngrit Omeri dhe tha: "I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) nuk ka vdekur, por shpirti i tij është ngjitur lart ashtu siç u ngjit shpirti i Musait. Pasha Allahun, i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) nuk do të vdesë derisa t'u presë duart dhe gjuhët disa njerëzve." Omeri vazhdoi të fliste aq shumë saqë i doli shkumë nga qoshet e gojës prej asaj që paralajmëronte dhe thoshte. Atëherë u ngrit Abasi dhe tha: "I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) me të vërtetë ka vdekur. Ai ishte njeri dhe vdekja e kaplon atë ashtu siç i kaplon njerëzit e tjerë. O popull, varroseni mikun tuaj! Ai është më i nderuar tek Allahu sesa që Ai ta bëjë të vdesë dy herë. A do ta bënte ndonjërin prej jush të vdiste një herë, ndërsa atë dy herë, kur ai është më i nderuar tek Allahu se kjo? O popull, varroseni mikun tuaj! Nëse do të ishte ashtu siç thoni ju, nuk do të ishte e vështirë për Allahun që ta nxirrte atë nga dheu. Pasha Allahun, i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) nuk vdiq derisa e la rrugën të qartë dhe të hapur; e bëri hallallin hallall dhe haramin haram, u martua dhe u divorcua, luftoi dhe bëri paqe. Asnjë bari delesh që ndjek kophenë e tij nëpër maja malesh, duke shkundur gjethet e pemëve me shkopin e tij dhe duke rregulluar vathën me duart e tij, nuk ishte më i palodhur dhe më i përkushtuar sesa i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) sa ishte mes jush. O popull, varroseni mikun tuaj!"

Rrëfehet se Umm Ejmeni filloi të qante. E pyetën: "O Umm Ejmen, po qan për të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.)?" Ajo tha: "Pasha Allahun, unë nuk po qaj sepse nuk e di që ai ka shkuar tek ajo që është më e mirë për të sesa kjo botë, por po qaj sepse u ndërpre shpallja (vahiu) nga qielli." Hamadi tha: "Ajjubin e mbytën lotët kur arriti në këtë pjesë të tregimit."
