أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ الْقَاسِمُ :" إِنَّكُمْ لَتَسْأَلُونَ عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ مَا كُنَّا نَسْأَلُ عَنْهَا، وَتُنَقِّرُونَ عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ مَا كُنَّا نُنَقِّرُ عَنْهَا، وَتَسْأَلُونَ عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ مَا أَدْرِي مَا هِيَ، وَلَوْ عَلِمْنَاهَا مَا حَلَّ لَنَا أَنْ نَكْتُمُكُمُوهَا "
#2875 Ahmad ibn ‘Abdullah informed us, Mu‘adh ibn Mu‘adh narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Awn, who said: Al-Qasim said: "Indeed, you ask about things that we never used to ask about, and you probe into matters that we never used to probe into, and you ask about things of which I do not know what they are. Had we known them, it would not have been permissible for us to conceal them from you."
