أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ : يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنَّا لَا نَدْرِي،" لَعَلَّنَا نَأْمُرُكُمْ بِأَشْيَاءَ لَا تَحِلُّ لَكُمْ، وَلَعَلَّنَا نُحَرِّمُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَشْيَاءَ هِيَ لَكُمْ حَلَالٌ، إِنَّ آخِرَ مَا نَزَلَ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ آيَةُ الرِّبَا، وَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يُبَيِّنْهَا لَنَا حَتَّى مَاتَ، فَدَعُوا مَا يَرِيبُكُمْ إِلَى مَا لَا يَرِيبُكُمْ "
#2886 Sulayman ibn Harb informed us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Dawud, from al-Sha'bi, that Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O people, indeed we do not know; perhaps we command you with things that are not lawful for you, and perhaps we forbid you from things that are lawful for you. Indeed, the last of what was revealed of the Quran was the verse of usury (Riba), and the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) did not explain it to us before he passed away; so leave that which causes you doubt for that which does not cause you doubt."

Me të vërtetë, pjesa e fundit që u shpall nga Kurani ishte ajeti i kamatës, dhe i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) nuk na e shpjegoi atë plotësisht derisa ndërroi jetë. Prandaj, lini atë që ju bën të dyshoni për atë që nuk ju bën të dyshoni.
