حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا قَدِمَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْبَصْرَةَ ، أَتَيْتُهُ أَنَا، وَالْحَسَنُ،" فَقَالَ لِلْحَسَنِ : أَنْتَ الْحَسَنُ؟ مَا كَانَ أَحَدٌ بِالْبَصْرَةِ أَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ لِقَاءً مِنْكَ، وَذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّكَ تُفْتِي بِرَأْيِكَ، فَلَا تُفْتِ بِرَأْيِكَ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونَ سُنَّةٌ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَوْ كِتَابٌ مُنْزَلٌ "
#2920 Muslim bin Ibrahim narrated to us, Abu Aqil narrated to us, Sa'id al-Jurayri narrated to us, from Abu Nadra, who said: When Abu Salama arrived in Basra, I and al-Hasan came to him. He said to al-Hasan: "Are you al-Hasan? There was no one in Basra whose meeting was more beloved to me than yours, and that is because it reached me that you issue legal rulings based on your own opinion. So, do not issue legal rulings based on your opinion unless it is a Sunnah from the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) or a revealed Book."

Transmeton Ebu Nadre: Kur Ebu Seleme erdhi në Basra, unë dhe Hasani shkuam tek ai. Ai i tha Hasanit: "A ti je Hasani? Nuk kishte asnjë person në Basra që kisha më shumë dëshirë ta takoja sesa ty. Kjo sepse më ka arritur lajmi se ti jep fetva sipas opinionit tënd. Mos jep fetva sipas opinionit tënd, përveç nëse është ndonjë Sunet nga i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) ose Libër i zbritur."
