أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ زِيَادَ بْنَ مِخْرَاقٍ ذَكَرَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ : أَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ، وَأَبَا مُوسَى إِلَى الْيَمَنِ ، قَالَ :" تَسَانَدَا وَتَطَاوَعَا، وَبَشِّرَا وَلَا تُنَفِّرَا "، فَقَدِمَا الْيَمَنَ ، فَخَطَبَ النَّاسَ مُعَاذٌ فَحَضَّهُمْ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ، وَأَمَرَهُمْ بِالتَّفَقُّهِ فِي الْقُرْآنِ، وَقَالَ : إِذَا فَعَلْتُمْ ذَلِكَ، فَاسْأَلُونِي أُخْبِرْكُمْ عَنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ، فَمَكَثُوا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَمْكُثُوا، فَقَالُوا لِمُعَاذٍ : قَدْ كُنْتَ أَمَرْتَنَا إِذَا نَحْنُ تَفَقَّهْنَا وَقَرَأْنَا أَنْ نَسْأَلَكَ فَتُخْبِرَنَا بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ مُعَاذٌ : إِذَا ذُكِرَ الرَّجُلُ بِخَيْرٍ، فَهُوَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ، وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ بِشَرٍّ فَهُوَ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ
#2981 Ya'qub bin Ibrahim informed us, saying: Umar bin Abi Khalifah narrated to us, saying: I heard Ziyad bin Mikhraq mention on the authority of Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) sent Mu'adh bin Jabal and Abu Musa to Yemen, saying: "Support one another and cooperate, and give glad tidings and do not repel people." When they arrived in Yemen, Mu'adh addressed the people and exhorted them towards Islam, and he commanded them to gain a deep understanding of the Qur'an, saying: "If you do that, then ask me and I shall inform you of the people of Paradise from the people of the Fire." They remained for as long as Allah willed they should remain, then they said to Mu'adh: "You had commanded us that once we gained understanding and recited the Qur'an, we should ask you so that you would inform us of the people of Paradise from the people of the Fire." Mu'adh said to them: "If a man is mentioned with good, then he is from the people of Paradise, and if he is mentioned with evil, then he is from the people of the Fire."

I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) i dërgoi Muadh bin Xhebelin dhe Ebu Musën në Jemen dhe u tha: "Bashkëpunoni me njëri-tjetrin, bindjuni njëri-tjetrit, përgëzoni dhe mos i largoni njerëzit." Kur arritën në Jemen, Muadhi u mbajti fjalim njerëzve, i nxiti ata në Islam dhe i urdhëroi që të thelloheshin në studimin e Kur’anit, duke u thënë: "Kur ta bëni këtë, më pyesni e do t’ju tregoj se kush janë banorët e Xhenetit dhe kush janë banorët e Zjarrit." Ata qëndruan aty aq sa deshi Allahu, e pastaj i thanë Muadhit: "Na pate urdhëruar që kur të kuptonim e të lexonim Kur'anin, të të pyesnim e ti të na tregoje për banorët e Xhenetit dhe ata të Zjarrit." Atëherë Muadhi u tha: "Nëse një njeri përmendet për të mirë, ai është nga banorët e Xhenetit, e nëse përmendet për të keq, ai është nga banorët e Zjarrit."
