Mujahid ibn Musa informed us, Abd Allah ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Malik ibn Mighwal, who said: A man said to al-Sha'bi: "Provide me with a legal verdict, O scholar." He replied: "The scholar is the one who fears Allah, the Mighty and Sublime."
