أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ الْعَمِّيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ ، عَنْ هَرِمِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : "إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْعَالِمَ الْفَاسِقَ، فَبَلَغَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ وَأَشْفَقَ مِنْهَا، مَا الْعَالِمُ الْفَاسِقُ؟، قَالَ : فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ هَرِمٌ : يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، وَاللَّهِ مَا أَرَدْتُ بِهِ إِلَّا الْخَيْرَ : يَكُونُ إِمَامٌ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْعِلْمِ، وَيَعْمَلُ بِالْفِسْقِ، فَيُشَبِّهُ عَلَى النَّاسِ، فَيَضِلُّونَ "
#3060 Bishr bin al-Hakam informed us, Abdul Aziz bin Abd al-Samad al-'Ammi narrated to us, Abu 'Imran al-Jawni narrated to us, from Harim bin Hayyan, that he said: "Beware of the dissolute scholar." This reached Umar bin al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, so he wrote to him, having become concerned by it: "What is the dissolute scholar?" He said: So Harim wrote back to him: "O Commander of the Faithful, by Allah, I intended nothing but good by it: It is a leader who speaks with knowledge but acts with dissoluteness, thereby confusing the people, so they go astray."

Transmeton Herim bin Hajjan: "Ruhuni prej dijetarit fasik (mëkatar)." Kjo i arriti Omer bin Hattabit (r.a.), i cili i shkroi atij i shqetësuar: "Çfarë është dijetari fasik?" Herimi i shkroi: "O Prijës i Besimtarëve, pasha Allahun, nuk kam pasur qëllim tjetër përveç të mirës: Ai është një udhëheqës që flet me dije, por vepron me paudhësi, kështu që i ngatërron njerëzit dhe ata humbasin."
