Isma'il ibn Aban informed us, Yahya ibn Yaman narrated to us, from Al-Minhal ibn Khalifah, from Matar al-Warraq, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: "Indeed, a man's preservation of Hadith is only according to the measure of his intention."
