#3310 Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Abi Khalaf informed us, Anas ibn 'Iyad narrated to us, from Hisham ibn 'Urwah, from his father, that he used to gather his sons and say: "O my sons, seek knowledge, for if you are the juniors of a people, perhaps you will become the seniors of others. And how disgraceful it is for an elder to be asked while he possesses no knowledge."
