حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ الْحِمْصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي يَعْلَى، شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏:‏ ‏ "‏ الْكَيِّسُ مَنْ دَانَ نَفْسَهُ وَعَمِلَ لِمَا بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ وَالْعَاجِزُ مَنْ أَتْبَعَ نَفْسَهُ هَوَاهَا ثُمَّ تَمَنَّى عَلَى اللَّهِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
#3998 It was
narrated from Abu Ya’la Shaddad bin Aws that the Messenger of
Allah
(ﷺ) said:
“The wise man is the one who takes account of
himself
and strives for that which is after death. And the helpless
man is
the one who follows his own whims then indulges in wishful
thinking
about Allah.”

Transmeton Shedad ibn Evsi: I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) ka thënë: "I mençur është ai që e merr veten në llogari dhe punon për atë që vjen pas vdekjes, ndërsa i pafuqishëm është ai që ndjek epshet e veta dhe pastaj ushqen shpresa të kota te Allahu."
