حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُجَاهِدٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ: يَقُولُ الرَّجُلُ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ جَهْدِ الْبَلاَءِ، ثُمَّ يَسْكُتُ، فَإِذَا قَالَ ذَلِكَ فَلْيَقُلْ: إِلاَّ بَلاَءً فِيهِ عَلاءٌ.

Abdullah bin Amir (ra) said that a man says:
(O Allah, I seek refuge in you from the distress of trial and then stops. When he makes this supplication he should also say (except a trial that produces elevation of ranks)
Transmeton Abdullah ibn Amri: Kur njeriu thotë: "O Allah, vërtet kërkoj mbrojtje tek Ti nga vështirësia e sprovës", e pastaj hesht; kur ta thotë këtë, le të thotë edhe: "përveç asaj sprove në të cilën ka lartësim".
