أَخْبَرَنا مَالِكٌ، أَخْبَرَني نُعَيْمٌ الْمُجْمِرُ، وَأَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْقَارِئُ «أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي بِهِمْ، فَكَبَّرَ كُلَّمَا خَفَضَ وَرَفَعَ»، قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ: «وَكَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حِينَ يُكَبِّرُ، وَيَفْتَحُ الصَّلاةَ» .

Malik informed us, Nu'aym al-Mujmir and Abu Ja'far al-Qari' informed me that Abu Hurayrah used to lead them in prayer; he would say the Takbir whenever he lowered and raised himself. Abu Ja'far said: "And he used to raise his hands when he said the Takbir and opened the prayer."
Na ka informuar Maliku, (i cili ka thënë): më ka informuar Nuajm el-Muxhmir dhe Ebu Xhafer el-Kariu se Ebu Hurejre u ka prirë atyre në namaz; ai merrte tekbir sa herë që ulej dhe sa herë që ngrihej. Ebu Xhaferi ka thënë: "Dhe ai i ngrinte duart e tij kur merrte tekbirin dhe kur e fillonte namazin."

فَأَمَّا رَفْعُ الْيَدَيْنِ فِي الصَّلاةِ فَإِنَّهُ يَرْفَعُ الْيَدَيْنِ حَذْوَ الْأُذُنَيْنِ فِي ابْتِدَاءِ الصَّلاةِ مَرَّةً وَاحِدَةً، ثُمَّ لَا يَرْفَعُ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنَ الصَّلاةِ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ، وَهَذَا كُلُّهُ قَوْلُ أَبِي حَنِيفَةَ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى وَفِي ذَلِكَ آثَارٌ كَثِيرَةٌ
