أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ أَبِي أَحْمَدَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: " صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلاةَ الْعَصْرِ، فَسَلَّمَ فِي رَكْعَتَيْنِ، فَقَامَ ﴾٦٦٦﴿ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ fَقَالَ: أَقَصُرَتِ الصَّلاةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَمْ نَسِيتَ؟ فَقَالَ: كُلُّ ذَلِكَ لَمْ يَكُنْ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، قَدْ كَانَ بَعْضُ ذَلِكَ، فَأَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى النَّاسِ، فَقَالَ: أَصَدَقَ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ؟ فَقَالُوا: نَعَمْ.
فَأَتَمَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا بَقِيَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الصَّلاةِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ، وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ بَعْدَ التَّسْلِيمِ "

Malik informed us, Dawud ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, from Abu Sufyan, the client of Ibn Abi Ahmad, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) performed the Afternoon (Asr) prayer and offered the salutation after two units (rak'ahs). Dhu al-Yadayn stood up and said: "O Messenger of Allah, has the prayer been shortened or have you forgotten?" He (pbuh) replied: "Neither of those occurred." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, indeed some of that did occur." Thereupon, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) turned towards the people and asked: "Is Dhu al-Yadayn telling the truth?" They replied: "Yes." So the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) completed what remained of his prayer and then offered the salutation. Subsequently, he performed two prostrations while sitting, after the salutation.
Na njoftoi Maliku, na tregoi Davud ibn el-Husajni, nga Ebu Sufjani, i liruari i Ibn Ebi Ahmedit, nga Ebu Hurejreja, i cili ka thënë: "I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) fali namazin e iqindisë dhe dha selam pas dy rekateve. Atëherë u ngrit Dhu-l-Jedejni dhe tha: 'O i Dërguari i Allahut, a u shkurtua namazi apo ke harruar?' Ai (s.a.v.s.) u përgjigj: 'Asnjëra nga këto nuk ka ndodhur.' Ai tha: 'O i Dërguari i Allahut, vërtet diçka nga kjo ka ndodhur.' Atëherë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) u kthye nga njerëzit e pyeti: 'A foli të vërtetën Dhu-l-Jedejni?' Ata thanë: 'Po.' Atëherë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) plotësoi atë që i kishte mbetur nga namazi, pastaj dha selam, e pastaj i bëri dy sexhde (sexhdet e harresës) duke qenë i ulur, pas selamit."
